Weesner Violin Studio offers violin lessons to students who live in Kernersville, Winston-Salem, and surrounding areas. The focus is on classical solo violin performance, for beginners up to the pre-conservatory level. Amelia Weesner, MM, utilizes the Suzuki Method for beginner to intermediate players, and a traditional Galamian-influenced method for intermediate and advanced students. Ms. Weesner teaches vital skills that prepares students for advanced repertoire in later learning. She strives to continually challenge and inspire the students, in a nurturing learning atmosphere.

In addition to weekly private lessons, students participate in group classes and recitals. This provides them with opportunities to learn in a group setting, to play for an audience, and to hear other students (and their teacher!) play. In our studio, all students receive opportunities to show their accomplishments and celebrate their achievements.

"Amelia Weesner is an outstanding violin teacher, successfully addressing and balancing technical and artistic considerations in her instruction. She works well with a wide variety of ages, personalities, and skill levels. Amelia is patient, persistent, encouraging, and insightful."                                                        --Lynne, a parent

"[Ms. Weesner] has a very gentle but direct way of dealing with different issues that have come up and have pushed them on to more challenging music at very appropriate intervals. . . I feel like the group as a whole and the students individually have grown musically through her coaching of their chamber group."                                                                                                        --Jennifer, a parent
