Weesner Violin Studio offers violin lessons to students who live in Winston-Salem and surrounding areas of the Piedmont Triad. The focus is on classical solo violin performance for beginners up to the pre-conservatory level. Joshua and Amelia Weesner are a husband-and-wife team, managing the studio together. Both are professionally trained violinists as well as trained Suzuki instructors. Each teacher has their own private students, and we combine all students for group classes and recitals. Students have weekly private lessons, with the parent observing so that the parent can support the child during home practice. In addition, we have multiple group classes per month, two solo recitals per year, and two group recitals per year. Because of our many performance opportunities, ALL students frequently receive opportunities to practice performing in informal and formal settings, show their accomplishments, and celebrate their achievements. To join the studio, prospective students first observe lessons during a free trial period. From that point, all that is required is a willingness to do the work.
